Kathy Charles is a screenwriter whose Stephen King biopic THE KINGS OF MAINE appeared on both the Hit List and Black List of Hollywood’s best unproduced screenplays. Her first feature, a remake of the horror classic CASTLE FREAK, was released in 2020. She is the co-writer of JAKOB’S WIFE starring Barbara Crampton that premiered at SXSW. She was also a writer on the Orion Pictures horror thriller 10/31 which also appeared on the Black List and Blood List. She is also the author of the novel JOHN BELUSHI IS DEAD published by MTV Books. Kathy was born in Melbourne, Australia and lives in Los Angeles.
